pure B.S. from the company

It's amazing! what some companies pull! I had a problem and could not pass the medical for the CDL so I could not drive. My employer told me there was no other work available even as a non driver, Yet they did this for 2 other drivers but when I called them on it they claimed that was under the previous so called risk manager and division manager. Also they gave no seperation from work (no layoff, no leave of absence, and I was not terminated. Now I will have to fight for unemployment.

Not Again!
Mood:  sad

My Godmother passed. Iwatched her like my other aunt a year before slowly go downhill, she was in her 80's and stopped taking meds and dialasys, she had a cardiac event, and cancer twice. Now another funeral a year from the last one I attended is much too soon as I watch my family one by one go on to what ever comes after life. This is going to be extremely difficult.

Not a good day

Tomorrow I have a difficult thing to do!. Attend the funeral of a dear family member...This person was a beloved member of my family that was in their mid 70's and I watched this person slowly decline in the hospital from regular care following a medical problem to critical care to palative care then to hospice and the end of life. It is never easy to see a loved one pass away but this time it hurts a lot more than normal. Understanding that death is part of living and that death is not the end but the beginning of a better existance is little comfort. I think I am goning to need all the strength I can muster for the tomorrow.

Field Dav

Well it's field day again and this year I am running alone. I have tried clubs that say that all hams are welcome and then you find out its an old boys network where some hams are the ones that keep getting elected to the officer positions and the club follows that ham(s) domination of the club for example an obsession with winning the field day contest. but anyway I don't have much to offer for contacts this field day...just 2m SSB and simplex, no 6m 10m or 440. I had hoped to have my Ranger RCI 2950 repaired but the tech. told me "you can't cure rigor mortis"...HEY! That's my line! Any how I really don't give a damned!

Good luck in the contest to all and have a great time!

Field Day!

Well It's Field Day again,

This year I am running alone as I have discovered that some clubs are not clubs but clicks and that the comeradery that was this hobby is fading fast just as the HF bands are. I really don't have much to offer as far as giving contacts go ...just 2m ssb and simplex. No 6m or 440 or 10m. I had hoped to get my RCI 2950 repaired in time for FD but the technician told me "you can't cure rigor mortis"...HEY that's my line! Anyhow screw it!...if I make only a few contacts then that is all I get. Atleast I don't have to put up with people who claim that their's is a friendly club that welcomes all hams when really it is an old boys network!

Pharmacies,Insurance companies,doctors and other B.S.!
Mood:  irritated

Greetings once again!,

The damned insurance company would not approve my request to refill my test strips and I ran out. They said it was not an their preferred meter so I got real irritated with these fools and Tweeted my dismay on Twitter (see twitter.com/n1leu), Well some one from Cigna messaged me about my problem so I sent them a message and asked why I should have to replace a perfectly good glucose meter with a new one adding that being a diabetic is expensive enough. I never got a reply..gee I wonder why.

Also they gave an ass ache about refilling my pills because the Dr. changed the dosing instructions. I had to call the Dr's office to get that straightened out but I am tired of going around with Cigna, the doctor and the pharmacy over the shit I need to stay alive!

A trip to the morgue
Mood:  sad
As macabre as it sounds in the tittle it isn't. Today a friend of mine passed away suddenly..she was only 54 years old and her next of kin needed a ride to the hospital to do what is now required under the circumstances. The charge nurse or what ever her tittle is led us to the back of the hospital thru several sets of doors that can only be opened with an employee badge with proper access, In a small room similar to and examination room she lay on a gurney, covered except for her head by a white sheet...she looked like she was asleep except for her purple lips and ashen face, a bag with her personal effects below her, we viewed her from the hallway and were told we could go in the room which we refused. Not like in the movies or television ...behind a glass window...the sheet being pulled back...a gasp....then sobbing...melodramatic crap! What happens next is that the body will be sent to the state medical examiners office for a post mortem to determine the cause of death, and since she and her next of kin are poor she will probably be buried in a paupers grave or cremated. I was shocked and reminded of our mortality. Surely this is an experience that I do not wish to repeat.

Well the announcement of AT&T to buy T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telecom for $39 Billion came as a suprise!.

If approved the deal would make Ma Bell the biggest cell provider in the US. It also may force Verizon to make a similar play for Sprint to stay competetive. What that means for me a T-Mobile customer for 9 1/2 years is unknown... higher rates, plan changes, crappy handsets who knows...we will have to wait and see... Stick around more to follow!
